I’m excited to join the team and be the newest contributing writer for my boys, The Bench Guys (and girl).
This crew voices their love of the game through in-depth knowledge, passion, and comedy; it’s quite the chemistry they bring every episode and they should be a weekly staple for NBA fans everywhere.
More than anything though, I love that these guys are purists; they coach, play, and just straight up love the game. I respect this because that’s not me.
I love basketball, I love the NBA, but most of all, I love FANTASY! Daily Fantasy Sports is the latest craze that allows great minds and degenerates alike to field the team of their choosing each and every day. It has been described as the “one night stand” of fantasy sports and that enables a player to start fresh daily; no commitments to injured, under performing or Bargnani’esque SOBs.
While The Bench Guys are talking and debating all stars and playoff outlooks, I’m locked into discussions about whether Brandon Bass sees 30 minutes tonight or how long Kemba’s knee keeps Brian Roberts starting (6 weeks?!?!).
As an NBA DFS player, my goal is to score 300 fantasy points on a nightly basis. If you can create a lineup every day that scores 300+ points, you’re in very good shape. If you are already doing this, get at me!!!
If not, feel free to read my opinions and use them (or not) as you see fit. Agree, disagree, follow, or don’t follow, but be an adult and stand behind your decisions and picks.
While you’re listening to The Bench Guys talk real life NBA issues like 6th man of the year, I’m digging for the 7th, 8th, and 9th men of the year in Fantasy Land!
Through daily research and discussions, I aim to be the fantasy voice of reason for The Bench Guys and serve up some serious food for thought to them and their fans alike. I’m in Fantasy Land all day, every day and invite you to join me!!
I’ll be offering daily opinions about “value” picks and/or “pay-up” picks for each position. Some picks I’ll explain, and some I’ll simply leave you to do your own homework.
Ultimately, I want to create a network of readers and contributors that work as a “DFS team” to make sure we all find ourselves in the green and smiling.
